Inspiring, indeed! If I'm not successful this year, I will not give up.

Now you DO know that the picture you posted is the ultimate...blue poppies at the Chelsea Flower Show. I hope to get there someday, too.

Thank you for this post! It made me smile! :-)

GG are you going to sow poppies this year? I've sown a few today allthough not blue ones.

  4. These are beautiful - I am hoping if we all send good growing thoughts Kylee's way, her poppies are going to be lovely for her.

Hi Betty: I don't know, for sure! Thanks! I hope you'll come back!

Hi Kate...We want to see pictures on her blog! Thanks for coming over!

Hi B_S girl! Yep! I was (am)! You get to do something special for a 25th anniversary, don't you think?!

  8. Well who wouldn't want blue poppies? Gorgeous, but I understand they only grow at high altitude (very high altitude!). I think cool summers are the secret, and that's hard for most of us to come by.

  9. Hi lostroses: Indeed, but when has a good challenge stopped us gardeners...lol! There are always exceptions (my motto) and as our local extension agent says, "Plants don't read the literature."

Hi YE: How did I miss you?? Sorry! No, no poppies...so far. I did have some purple ones that had reseeded a couple years...but I see no sign of them. Perennial ones don't seem to do well...and you see the luck I am having with annual ones! However, I never say never...

Gotta Comment? Great! Thanks in advance for taking the time. I'll get back to you as soon as possible, assuming I'm not in the garden...because there, I lose all track of time...(Don't you?)...Take care now.
