Also, these photos were taken with an Olympus that I used two cameras ago. Still, I had to do hardly any cropping which I attribute to this garden. Stunning views everywhere requiring nothing of the photographer. Cameras love it. These images are old and I did notice some color degradation. Something I hadn't expected...or maybe it was there all along? Who knows. That's what happens when you get...umm...some almost six years behind in your photos...

Always on the alert for daylilies, I especially liked the name of this one. Looks like a tuberose is joining in on the fun...do note that it is Daylily (one word), though...

If you're ever in the Outer Banks area, you definitely want to make time to visit here. A nice gift shop and there are plants for sale...neat things....although most of what I bought there was not happy as far north as I am...who can resist a bit of zone pushing...
Well, I'm feeling much more relaxed after this little visit...especially with more snow predicted for today...I'll think of more pleasant things....like a return trip here with my current camera (wouldn't that be great...hint, hint dh....ha)...to see what has changed...or not.

I love this garden, some of these ideas I am atttempting in my own garden, the long views, the geometric beds, rooting box so I can have my own hedges. Thank you for all the ideas. Now where can I get some statues!
What a variety of garden areas. Some of them so geometric (which I enjoy visiting, but not creating), some so relaxed... love that little spot with the bench! How long did it take to tour this site? Thanks for sharing.
