I'm in Florida for a bit. Not the beaches part of Florida, but nonetheless it was 70 degrees here yesterday; a welcome change from the snow. Unfortunately, I'm not here for pleasure but to see about my mother who has had a quadruple bypass.
While I grew up in Florida, it has been many years since I have been back.
I had forgotten about the Spanish Moss in the trees...

Katie,
I am sorry to hear about your mum. I hope that her operation has been a success and that she recovers quickly.
I hope your mother is doing well? Quite a number of years ago, we drove in to Canada on vacation. At one of the parks we visited, we were told they call the hanging moss "Old Man's Beard." Such a great memory and, I thought, apt name. :-)
I hope your mother is doing well and has a quick recovery. We did have gorgeous weather this weekend here! I live in the "not beaches" part of Florida as well. That photo could have been taken in my backyard.
Sending you some good vibes for your visit with your mother...
Best wishes for your mom making a speedy recovery! Very cool/spooky moss
Thank you so much for the well wishes. It means a great deal...
The first few days were quite difficult, but every day after that, things got better...
Such is life...

Hey Kate! We have to catch up! Hope all is well your way...
Shady Gardener, that is a delightful name! Thank you for sharing that...it makes for a great memory picture!
Floridagirl, that is very wild! It has changed much since I lived in Florida...but the part I was visiting looked like time forgot about it! That tree was actually above my parked car at the nursing home my mom was moved to for rehab.
I can use all the good vibes I can get, thanks the girl!
Thank you all. It really made me smile to read your good thoughts.
