Spring Ongoing....

Exuberant Lady Jane Tulips....opening wide in the sun...

When closed, they give an entirely different picture (and color)...

Other tulips...

Lilac Beauty...

Tarda...

Just because...even now...this double hellebore looks great...

I've participated in some co-ops and am expecting more double hellebores...some might be small...forewarned, it can take small hellebores a couple years to bloom...

Let's get back to daffodils....while we can...as they will soon be gone, too...

Hungarian Rhapsody...two views...

Killearnan...two views...

Only a few blooms from this one this year...Tricollet...

Inverpoly...

Asila...

Martinette...

A small one, Hawera...

Royal Marine...

Pink Parasol...

Misty Glen...

Dick Wellband....two views...

Baby Moon....when it starts blooming, I think that the late daffodil season has begun...

Sugar and Spice...

Scarlet Gem....

Final Event...

Eyelet...

Sold to me as Papillon Blanc....I'm not totally sure...

Unfortunately, not Stainless....

For comparison, here's Seagull (on the left) and Queen of the North (on the right)....if you were to glance at a clump of them, you might say...."Oh, they look alike"...but, do they? Look closer...

When walking my garden, I would see these two below (in different areas) and wonder if they were the same.....look for yourself...

Not even close, is it....beware casting about and saying they all look alike! (Unless, of course, they do because you have been buying from unreliable sources.) On the right is Tripartite...which you might recognize from my blog header photo....on the left is one I bought on a whim (I try not to have those any more...lol)...it was called Love Potion....incorrectly, as it doesn't come close to matching the description. I suspect it is something else that has been renamed by the supplier. I wish they wouldn't do that! It is a nice daffodil, though...still, since there is a real Love Potion out there, it will have to become an unknown in my garden.

*****
Today my in-the-green snowdrops arrived from Temple Nursery. They looked great, of course, and I am happy to report that they are already planted and labeled out in my garden. You gotta do that with those...plant them right away...do not delay!

My mail lady...who is terrific...has been bringing me some packages...one with the label half torn off, one with the wrong name....all mine, though...I am thankful for her that she brings me my plants, regardless of this stuff....can't you just image how awful this could be without her??

Right now, I'm about to pot up two daylilies that arrived today (exciting!) and I've received several click and ship notices, so more are on the way. Not nearly as many as in the past....but enough.

I'm working on getting seedlings out in boxes and moving daylilies out to prepare a bed for those seedlings. Hmmm, I should be thinking about donating some daylilies to an upcoming club sale....we'll see how the week goes....it's a lot of work to dig them, divide them, label them, print a photo, etc...I'm also thinking about listing some on the Lily Auction....lots to do....that's what Spring is all about!

Some unknowns....still nice to look at...

I keep meaning to move these (above) as they are growing behind some chives...at one time, this was the edge of the bed...(this happens a lot around here)...now, these tiny daffodils would be better placed elsewhere...

Okay....there's still more...plus some lates which haven't begun to bloom yet...such a great time...Daffodil Season...
