Today in the Garden...Daffodils

After about two weeks away from my garden, I have returned! Much has happened in my absence, but, oh, what fun it has been to explore and appreciate everything. Nothing like absence...

I thought we'd take a look at the daffodils as I found them yesterday....well, some of them as (laugh) there's more than enough to keep us going for a few days...

This is a new one for me this year...at this point, I'd say it's my favorite..

And now....one last picture for today....something that encouraged me and inspired me...

The last couple of weeks have been difficult and rewarding...I looked at that (above), my flower friends, and appreciated the triumph over adversity. That is a daffodil growing in my grass (which needs to be trimmed) that I must have dropped or overlooked last fall. It has lain there without benefit of anything (through a record cold January) and yet, it is going to bloom! It is giving its all, fighting despite adversity. The grass has been mowed, weed whacked, etc. I looked at it yesterday in wonder. Gotta appreciate that.

What an amazing array of daffodils! You really do qualify for The Daffodils by William Wordsworth! :-)

I went crazy looking at all those wonderful cultivars! I'd want the Flower Record in my garden. Most lovely among all!
