Daylily Doings for July 17th

Things are slowing down, sadly, on the daylily front here. However, there are still blooms to be found here and there. A few lates haven't even begun yet, but the big flush of blooms (commonly referred to as peak bloom) is done for 2008. Here's what I found of interest yesterday:

MAL:

STARS AND ANGELS:

MICHAEL MILLER:

LAKE EFFECT:

SPACECOAST EYE DECLARE:

ORCHID CORSAGE:

WOMEN SEEKING MEN:

LIVING IN LUXURY:

STRING STEAMER:

TOP HONORS:

LARGER THAN LIFE:

WORLDS COLLIDE:

LIME PEEL:

JUST PLAIN BILL:

ETERNAL WARRIOR:

EDGE OF HEAVEN:

SUSQUEHANNA PARFAIT:

MAGNIFICENT RAINBOW:

FEMININE INTUITION:

YOU KNOW WHO:

PRISSY FRILLS:

The seedlings are also almost done. Here are three, one you'll recognize from the previous post.
8-179

8-180

I'll have a seedling that is blooming on a rebloom scape (the only one, so far....and really neat, for a first year seedling to have rebloom...) to show you next time...and, more daylilies from my garden as well...

It doesn't look like much of a slow down to me. Wonderful blooms. I like magnificent rainbow. I choose that one as my favorite today!

Oh my! I came to the right place this morning! I have serious envy of your daylily gardens tour.
They're all absolutely gorgeous, but String Steamer really catches my eye.
We took our annual trip to our local daylily farm on July 20th on a stormy afternoon and had to wait out a downpour, but managed to bring home 4 new beauties. I was leaning toward pinks this year, plus a yellow/green spider. Ah, I love lilies!!
It was fun to read your Troy-Bilt article..which is what led me here this morning. Great job!
I wrote an article for an upcoming issue (I think it'll appear in the Aug. newsletter).
I haven't found much time for visiting or posting this summer. Much too busy in the garden. Gotta go do that now :) Happy gardening!
